The Read: Gordon converted a sixth-round entry into a real rookie foothold, but not an open runway. Miami used his 225-pound frame in short yardage, and he scored four times on 77 offensive touches, yet the full line settled at 199 rushing yards and 2.8 yards per carry. De’Von Achane owns the offense and a new long-term deal; Jaylen Wright remains the cleaner change-of-pace replacement. Gordon’s Year 2 case is narrower and useful: preserve the power role, turn camp flashes into better efficiency, and become trustworthy enough that an injury creates volume rather than merely more committee work.
