The Read: Flacco returns to Cincinnati because the first rescue mission proved he can still operate a real NFL passing game. After the October trade, he threw 13 touchdowns against four interceptions for the Bengals, kept Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins productive, set a career high with 470 yards against Chicago, and reached his first Pro Bowl. Cincinnati answered with one year and $6 million, plus incentives to $9 million. In dynasty, that is premium event-driven quarterback insurance rather than independent weekly value: no Burrow absence means no lineup lane, but an activation would place an aggressive veteran pocket passer inside one of the league’s best receiving structures.
Dynasty UseBurrow insurance / event-driven QB2Hold in deep Superflex rooms or pair with Burrow; if activated, the surrounding targets make him immediately streamable.
Risk ShapeAge 41, one-year, zero rushing floorThe arm can still create points, but the asset needs another quarterback’s absence and carries no normal appreciation path.
