The Read: McLaughlin is a tiny lightning cabinet with a forever résumé. The NFL role has stayed committee-shaped, but the burst, receiving utility, and college production history make him more than a generic scat-back. Denver does not need to build the offense around him for him to matter. He needs touches in space, passing-down access, and a backfield that keeps the door cracked.
