The Read: Hodgins is not a hidden breakout at 27, but he remains a useful test of whether dynasty managers can separate roster survival from fantasy value. New York brought him back from Pittsburgh’s practice squad in November 2025, started him five times, and received 10 catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. The Giants then re-signed him, and his red-zone timing has resurfaced with touchdowns from Jameis Winston and Brandon Allen during camp. The catch-point skill is real. So is the danger: a one-year contract with no guaranteed money, lower-unit quarterback work, and one of the league’s deepest receiver competitions leave him fighting for a game-day role before targets matter.
Dynasty UseDeep-roster red-zone contingencyA watchlist or last-bench receiver whose size and quarterback trust can become usable if New York’s depth chart thins.
Risk ShapeRoster seat before target shareNo guaranteed money, limited special-teams leverage, and a packed room make final cuts the first valuation gate.
