The Read: Ferguson’s rookie volume was small, but the shape was loud: 11 receptions became 231 yards and three touchdowns, with six gains of at least 25 yards. Second-round capital, elite tight-end testing, and real NFL vertical proof keep the 23-year-old in a premium developmental lane. The complication is structural. Tyler Higbee returned, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen remain, and Los Angeles spent another second-round pick on Max Klare. Ferguson is a high-upside receiving specialist inside a crowded, 13-personnel-friendly room, not a ceremonial succession plan.
Dynasty UsePremium developmental TE stashHold for the athletic receiving ceiling, second-round runway, and a role that can expand quickly if the veteran rotation thins.
Risk ShapeThe room can bury the talentFive invested tight ends can create real-football packages while still denying any one young player dependable fantasy volume.
