The Read: Davis became more valuable to Buffalo in 2025 without becoming more dependable for fantasy lineups. His offensive workload fell to 58 carries and 10 catches, but he transformed the return unit with 943 kickoff-return yards, a 30.4 average, a 97-yard touchdown, and first-team All-Pro recognition. That work gives him unusual roster security for a backup running back. It does not move James Cook or Ty Johnson out of the fantasy touch economy. Davis remains a premium Cook contingency with enough receiving and explosive-play skill to matter immediately if the depth chart opens, but weekly managers should not convert special-teams excellence into imaginary offensive volume.
